STUDENTS from St Stephen’s Community Academy have been getting involved with the community this week as they took a visit to a local care home.
Class F enjoyed a second visit to the local care home to share some of their toys and games with residents.
Maura Furber, headteacher from the school said: “We all showed great communication and language skills when speaking to the lovely residents. As a school we know the capacity to form and maintain relationships is essential to us and how we function within society. It is a key component to being mentally healthy and having a positive sense of wellbeing.
“We are delighted to be able to develop these special relationships with our new friends and are already looking forward to our next monthly visit.”
