An operating centre licence in the UK (part of a Goods Vehicle or PSV Operator's Licence) authorises the specific premises where commercial vehicles or trailers are normally kept when not in use. Operators must list these centres to prove they have adequate, safe, and lawful parking.

Owners or occupiers of land (including buildings) near the operating centre who believes that their use or enjoyment of that land would be affected, are able to make written representations to the Traffic Commissioner at Quarry House, Quarry Hill, Leeds LS2 7UE stating their reasons , within 21 days of April 29.

AGM of community group

THE Launceston Community CCTV project is set to hold its annual general meeting (AGM) in mid May.

It will be held at the Orchard Centre in the town centre, and all are welcome to join in the annual meeting.

It will take place on Tuesday, May 12, at 7pm.

Speed restriction

A TEMPORARY speed restriction will be put in place from May 11 on a road in Launceston.

Tavistock Road will be the subject of a 30 miles per hour speed restriction on a length of road totalling approximately 232 metres in order that Section 278 works, which are part of works to the highway as part of a nearby housing development can be undertaken.
