PLANS to upgrade and extend the skatepark at Crooklets car park on Summerleaze Downs, Bude are unlikely to be met with obstacles according to pre-application planning advice.

Principal development officer for Cornwall Council, Helen Blacklock said: “It was clearly evident from a site visit that the existing skate park features and surfacing would benefit from upgrading. The principle of the proposed development is considered to be supported by planning policy.” But she added: “Given the nature of the proposed development consideration will be needed to be given to any potential impacts upon neighbouring residents...it is considered at this stage the proposals are unlikely to result in significant increased noise.”
