CORMAC and Bude-Stratton Town Council have issued an update on the on-going canal dredging works.

They have confirmed that pile installation is now complete, which should reduce the level of noise in the area.

There will be a four-day cessation of activities over the Easter weekend.

A spokesperson for Bude-Stratton Town Council said: “The update has been provided by CORMAC, who are delivering the two projects for Cornwall Council.

“No operations over Easter weekend (Good Friday to Easter Monday) for both dredging and embankment repairs.

“Pile installation for repairs are now completed, reducing noise in the area.

“Dredging resumes from Truscott’s bridge to Whalesborough starting April 2.

“Embankment repair work continues from April 3, within fenced-off area, with no encroachment into the canal.”
