BUDE’S ‘Notorious’ Aidan B has recorded an anti-knife crime anthem.

Aidan said: “In recent weeks I was so utterly sick to the teeth of the continuing tragic waste of young life, that I felt the need to do something, anything, take some action, and so after consulting various anti-knife and gun crime groups and being a musician I decided to set about what I can do and I came up with the chorus ‘Cool kids don’t carry’, which basically says it all.

“In rather an unusual twist I have left a section of the song incomplete the idea being to facilitate a tailored rap or ‘talk over’ relevant to each community or circumstance, with said rap focusing on local tragedies, incidents and the ramifications in the hope of connecting with the disenfranchised. Let’s be honest, young people hate been lectured to by adults but they do occasionally take notice of their peers and heroes.”

Aidan believes that ‘Cool Kids Don’t Carry’ will help spread the message about the devastation of knife crime. The song was recorded at Bude Music Studios and is a non-profit making recording. To find out more check out The NOTORIOUS Aidan B online.
