THE East Cornwall branch of the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) is holding a seminar in Bude ono Tuesday to help local businesses make sense of the steady wave of 'social legislation' that is being introduced.
For many small businesses, the legislation makes an already difficult life for owner/managers more complex.
The Legal Resources part of the FSB website provides much of the detail and text that needs to be used, and this is the usual first port of call for FSB members and the legal helpline will guide where specific issues are in play.
A spokesman said: "However, that is all detail when the first thing that a business person needs is the general outline of what is required, what is 'best practice,' and what administration is necessary as support. This is exactly what this event is looking to address. When we know what is required and when, then the businesses can start organising themselves."
A local lawyer will be available to answer questions at the event, which will be held at the Falcon Hotel, Bude, on Tuesday (April 28).
Although it is being held by the FSB, Sue Cave, the East Cornwall Branch Chair, has agreed that it will be an open event, so anyone can attend.
If you would like to attend, please phone 08700 501276 and leave a message with your name and how many places required, or email [email protected]">[email protected].
