THE Bude community is pulling out all the stops to help a local girl fulfill her wish list.
Sadie Monk, 22, was diagnosed with Non Hodgkin's Lymphoma and has recently been given the news that her cancer is terminal.
Now, a group of friends have set up a Facebook page to raise awareness of Sadie's plight and to advertise the fundraising events that are taking place.
Kerry Hodgson explained: "The aim is to raise as much money as possible to send Sadie and her mum, Fran, off to do things on her wish-list, so that they can enjoy what precious time they have to the absolute fullest."
Among the things on Sadie's wish-list are a trip abroad with her mum; sightseeing and a West End show in London; a trip to Longleat and a spa weekend.
She has already fulfilled one of her wishes by having a tattoo at Aquarius Tattoo in Bude.
A number of events have already taken place, including Nicole Box's head-shave at Shine, which raised more than £360. Bude Jive Club dedicated their recent raffle and Samuel Jennings took part in a triathlon.
There are also lots more in the pipeline, including a coffee and cake morning at Rosie's Café, Bude, at noon on Tuesday, July 7 and a Tamar Lakes Parkrun Charity 5K at Upper Tamar Lake on July 11 at 9am.
