BROOKS Garden Centre in Stratton has been shortlisted as one of five finalists in the first Garden Centre of the Year competition run by Cornwall Today.

The winner of the award will be based on public votes on the magazine's website, open until March 31.

Another five finalists have been shortlisted for the Garden Nursery of the Year.

Staff at Brooks hope local residents will vote for the centre — everyone who votes will be put into a free draw to win one of five family tickets to Cornwall Spring Flower Show, held on the weekend of April 5 and 6, where the winners of both competitions will be announced on the Sunday.
