NORTH Cornwall MP Dan Rogerson and Cornwall Councillor for Flexbury and Poughill Paula Dolphin have welcomed a new post box for Marhamchurch following a successful campaign.

The previous post box, which was part of the Post Office building, was removed following the closure of the facility in 2009, leaving villagers without access to a local box.

Lib Dems Rogerson and Dolphin worked with village residents and the parish council to argue for the post box to be reinstated. Following the successful campaign, Royal Mail have now installed the new one in Marhamchurch Square, next to the telephone box.
