GINA and Cathy Crockford, of Flexbury Stores in Bude, kindly sponsored reading, record and handwriting books for Bude Infant School.

They are produced by the Police Community Clubs of Great Britain in partnership with Community Initiatives Associates.The school were so delighted with the kind gesture and the books themselves that they have gone on to order more for use in the school.This is seen as a wonderful piece of community liaison which is so valuable to local schools.

"The 'Barney and Echo' books are a great resources for the school as they bring certain messages with them that suit the ethos of our school so well," said Jane Greatbatch Headteacher.
