THE major fast food restaurant, McDonald’s, has quashed rumours of the chain setting up shop in Bude.

McDonald’s is a worldwide fast food chain restaurant that can be found in most cities in the UK.

It was heard via the social media page, ‘Bude Banter’, that McDonald’s may be looking at setting up an outlet in the town, but it has now been confirmed that the chain has no plans to do so.

In a response issued by McDonald’s, a spokesperson said: “We do not currently have any plans to open a restaurant in Bude. This is just a rumour.”
