PUBLIC notices cover a range of applications, ranging from licensing applications for liqueur or entertainment to planning applications, roadworks and other works. Their intention is to inform communities of the latest plans in their area and such applications are considered for approval or refusal by local authorities. Here are some of the latest applications submitted to Cornwall Council in North Cornwall and Torridge District Council in Torridge.
Alcohol licence application
A BUSINESS in Boscastle has applied to Cornwall Council seeking the granting of a premises licence which will allow it to sell alcohol.
Christopher Key has submitted the application for the granting of the premises licence in respect of his business at Rocket Store Deli, Rocket Store Hut, The Harbour, Boscastle, PL35 0AG.
If granted, it will permit the sale by retail of alcohol between the hours of 8am and 6pm seven for days a week (Mondays to Sundays) for consumption off of the premises.
Any responsible authority or other person who wishes to make representations with respect to Mr Key’s application can do by contacting the licensing team at Cornwall Council at New County Hall, Truro, TR1 3AY or via email at [email protected] no later than March 3, 2026.
A record of the application can be viewed by prior appointment at the address of the licensing authority on weekdays by prior appointment.
Vehicle licence application
AN application seeking to use a business park near Camelford as an operating centre for the siting of a heavy goods vehicle has been submitted to the transport commissioner.
Mr Thomas David Brown, trading as Atlantic Haulage and with a correspondence address of 6 Mayfield Road, Port Isaac, Cornwall, PL29 3RT, is applying for the licence to use Tregath Business Park on Station Road, Camelford, Cornwall, PL32 9TX as an operating centre for one goods vehicle and one trailer.
As part of the process, owners and occupiers of land near to the proposed operating centre is invited to contact the Traffic Commissioner if they believe their enjoyment of the land will be affected within 21 days of February 18.
