Chris Heard, organiser of the successful Pendeen Car Boot Sales held every Sunday from Easter till November at Stratton, recently presented cheques to Cornwall Air Ambulance and Stratton Hospital League of Friends. The Air Ambulance received £500 and the League of Friends were presented with £1,336, which will go towards the improvement and development of Stratton Hospital. Both Arthur Newton (Cornwall Air Ambulance) and Alan Mill (vice chairman of Stratton Hospital League of Friends) thanked Chris on behalf of their charities for the generous donations and said the money would be a great asset especially to Stratton Hospital who are currently looking for funding for future development and improvement to the building.
