THE beautiful age old tale of Cinderella is this year's pantomime choice for the Morwenstow Community Players.

Written by Ivor Potter, it was last performed by the players in 1997 and this current production includes some of the original cast and backstage crew

Cinderella is played by Fay Mannix, and her father Baron Humfrey Hardup, by Nigel Steer. Paul Mannix plays his wife, Baroness Harriet Hardup, and her two nasty spoilt daughters are Titty Anny (Tracey Cory) and Tatty Bitty (Mandy Andrew). Cinderella's only true friend is a servant called Zip, played by Jaik Payne.

Gracing the stage as the King and Queen of Hearts are Ken Boundy and Pearl Myers and their son Prince Gary (Shannon Mannix). Their servants are Silas Snivell (Val Tape) and Dan Druff (Emily Roberts).

The Palace Guards Smash and Grab (Lizzie Hobbs and Lainey Cole) are ordered around by an authoritative Sergeant Major Bulko (Shorne Tilbey).

No Cinderella is complete without a Fairy Godmother — played by Linda Tilbey, who magics up the coach and attendants (Josh Steer, Carley Inch and Jemima O'Brien).
