NORTH PETHERWIN are once again the leaders of the East Cornwall Premier League despite being held to a 3-3 draw by third-placed St Columb Major.
Both sides went into the game knowing that a win would see them finish the day top as Foxhole weren’t in action.
In a thrilling contest, goals from Owen Pennington and Ben Sharpe either side of St Columb’s efforts, made it 2-2 at the break.
Joe Reeve’s free-kick put the Badgers back in front shortly after the hour, but Tom Howes’ second of the afternoon ensured Major a point. Elsewhere in the division involving Post area clubs, St Minver beat neighbours Wadebridge Town Reserves 2-1 thanks to Rob Green’s double, while St Teath lost once again, going down 4-2 at home to St Blazey Reserves.
See this week’s Post for the details from the games.
