THE A39 near Wadebridge is currently closed in both directions after a two vehicle collision.

It is understood that there are only minor injuries after the collision, with tailbacks through Wadebridge town centre also reported as drivers seek to divert the closure.

Traffic reporting service Inrix stated: “A39 both ways closed, queueing traffic due to accident from West Hill to the A389.”

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: “This was a two vehicle collision first reported at 3.45pm. Road closure in place. Recovery work ongoing. Believed to be minor injury only.”
