THE sun was bright and a colourful array of floats brought laughter and light to the Bradworthy Carnival.

Participants young and old joined in the occasion with live music and fun accompanying the annual event.

A spokesperson for Bradworthy Carnival said: “What a fantastic carnival - thanks to everyone who entered either as walkers or on a float and a great deal of effort had gone into each one.

“The procession of floats wound its way around the village, delayed a little by one tractor having a puncture on route. Followed by a great performance from Loose Cannons who blasted music across the square.

“The evening finished off with a spectacular fireworks display. Thank you to everyone for supporting our village carnival throughout the year to make it happen.”
