BUDE Barclays employee Jane Briggs recently took part in a fundraising event in aid of St Petroc's School, Bude.
Jane who is branch manager at the branch in Bude, raised £826 by organising a cake stall and refreshments at the Christmas Bazaar. Barclays added a further £750 as part of their Community Investment Programme, bringing the total raised to more than £1500.
Paula Molyneux, Community Relations Manager for the South West said: "At Barclays we strive to strengthen local communities in which we live and work by supporting a range of causes from local schools to centres for older people. This is a fantastic example of Barclays staff fundraising with the local community to achieve something which we hope will make a real and lasting difference."
Over the last four years, Barclays staff have raised over £40 million for over 7,500 of their favourite charities. Last year over 26,000 Barclays staff were involved in local fundraising or volunteering events within the local community.
