CROWDS were out in force recently as they made the most of the warm weather at Bude Carnival 2026.

For more than 100 years Bude Carnival has been bringing fun to residents in North Cornwall.

First held in December 1920, events included a grand torchlight procession, a grand masked confetti fete, hourly concerts by four Jolly Sailor Men and an exhibition of war trophies.

More than a century later, the tradition has continued, with the event putting the fun in fundraising, though residents can now enjoy the event during the summer sun.

This year was no different, with the community coming together to enjoy a fun day in the summer sun, all while raising money for important local causes.
