CHRISTMAS switch-ons, winter festivals and festive lunches were the order of things in Camelford as the town prepared for Christmas in style.

On November 30, Cllr Stephen Bond held his first mayor’s Christmas lunch in the role as the town’s civic leader, with over 50 people attending the event. In a role reversal, Santa appeared to give mince pies to those in attendance.

Meanwhile, the town sparkled with life as the Christmas light switch-on and winter festival brought bright lights and festivities in abundance.

A spokesperson for Camelford Town Council said: “What an amazing evening for our Winter Festival and Christmas Lights switch-on! A huge thank you to everyone in our community who came along and got involved, it really is your support that makes this event so special.”
