THE Boardmasters Longboard Pro wrapped at Fistral Beach after a record breaking season — with Cornwall’s own Emily Currie, of Bude, reaching the women's Longboard final.

Alice Lemoigne (FRA) took a historic seventh Boardmasters title, adding to a record that already includes two world longboard titles. Louis Marchiset (FRA) claimed his first ever Boardmasters and LQS win, edging a men's final that ran to the buzzer against António Dantas (POR), Max Jamet (FRA) and Edouard Delpero (FRA).

However, it was Cornwall's own who was the last British surfer standing, as Currie reached the women's final in front of a home crowd.

Saturday saw the thrilling conclusion of the surfing at the Boardmasters Open 2026 as the Longboard Pro wrapped up at Fistral Beach.

Despite the swell adjusting, Fistral Beach provided exactly what the competitors needed for a world-class display in the art of longboarding.

The women's semi-finals kicked off with the first of the UK surfers, Lola Bleakly, putting in a great performance. However, strong showings from Denmark’s Thilde Rasmussen and France’s Canelle Lebreton meant Bleakly did not progress. In the next heat, Currie performed exquisitely on the right-handers of Fistral, advancing alongside heat winner Alice Lemoigne of France.

The women's final delivered exceptional style, with Thilde Rasmussen blending hang fives, hang tens, and beautiful wave trim to clock two of the highest wave scores of the heat. Unfortunately, an interference penalty halved her second score, making victory a steep challenge. Currie put on a strong display for the home crowd, but the French contingent proved too strong, with Lemoigne taking the victory and Canelle Lebreton securing second place.
