The annual Launceston and District Cats Protection Christmas Fayre took place on Saturday, November 19, in Lifton Community Centre.

There was a large selection of stalls including craft, tombola, Cats Protection Christmas cards, calendars and diaries, delicious homemade cakes & preserves, a very large raffle, hot pasties & homemade sausage rolls and refreshments were served.

In addition, this year there was a special raffle prize of a large ‘Hampurr’, donated by Cats Protection head office, packed full of goodies which proved to be very popular! The event was extremely well attended and that reflected in the grand total raised which was an impressive £2,336.79.

A spokesperson for the branch said: “Our thanks go to everyone who came along to support us so generously.

“Also many thanks to all the volunteers who, not only worked hard in preparation for such a large event but also enjoyed helping out on the day.

“We look forward to meeting our wonderful supporters at events in the new year but in the meantime, our very best wishes to you all!”
