THE annual Holsworthy peloton charity bike ride was a success, and even saw the town’s mayor join in the fun.

Cllr Jon Hutchings said: “I was invited to start off the riders for the Holsworthy Peloton's Annual Charity Bike Ride. Lovely to speak to some of the riders before the off! Great to see the event being supported by other peloton groups from around Devon and Cornwall including Newquay, Saltash and Ilfracombe to name a few.

“At 9am we sent the cyclists on their routes in small groups. They had a choice of 25, 42 or 65 miles! I decided to cycle my own route back home! Well done to the Holsworthy Peloton for supporting two local charities, The Holsworthy Area Sports Pavilion and the Holsworthy Food Bank.”
