THE official opening date of the soon to be reopened Deer Park Nursing Home has been confirmed by its new operators.

Camelot Care acquired the purpose-built property, previously Deer Park Care Home in September 2024, and have spent the past 10 months overseeing an extensive refurbishment of the property.

Cllr Jon Hutchings, the mayor of Holsworthy, will officially open it on October 13 at 11am.

The official opening ceremony will be followed by an open day for members of the Holsworthy community the opportunity to gain a first sight at the newly opened nursing home.

Suzanne Evans, registered manager of Deer Park Nursing Home said: “We are really proud of the bright, modern and calming interior, all carefully considered, using extensively researched NHS design principles for achieving dementia friendly environments.”

Paul Teasdale, director at Camelot Care, added: “We are delighted to welcome the new Deer Park team into the Camelot Care family, and we’re excited about bringing much-needed nursing and residential dementia care to the local community.

“We are a family-run business with over 23 years’ experience in providing high-quality person-centred care, and we understand how to support our residents with dementia to live their best lives, welcoming the involvement of family and friends whenever possible.”
