A STUDENT in North Cornwall has reprimanded Education Secretary Michael Gove over his treatment of teachers.

Ben Clark, aged 16, has accused the Coalition Government Secretary of State of not caring about what teachers think and describing his ideas on education as 'crazy'.

Ben, a student at Budehaven Community School, has written a lengthy letter to Mr Gove, following the strike by teachers last month in a dispute over pay, pensions and conditions.

He told Mr Gove he had spoken to one of his teachers, who had said he was worried for the future of education.

Ben wrote: 'I felt very sorry for him. I'm sure he preferred his career before you started enforcing all these crazy ideas. Is this really what you want? Teachers becoming less motivated?

'While you probably think you are doing the right thing for everyone, I do not believe you have taken everyone's views into consideration. It seems to be your way or

no way.'
