THE Kilkampton Amateur Theatrical Society (KATS) presented ‘Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs’ in the Grenville Rooms, Kilkhampton, at the end of last year.
The pantomime, in aid of Cornwall Air Ambulance and Jay’s Aim, was written by Ben Crocker, produced by Anna Balsdon and directed by Luke Francis.
Anna, producer and chairlady, who this year also took on the role of Snow White, was delighted with the support shown to the show, adding that this year the show sold more tickets than ever before.
She said: “Following the hugely successful production of ‘Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs’, I would like to thank everyone for their continued support without which our efforts would be in vain. All six of the performances were extremely well attended. This year sees us selling the most tickets we have ever sold in KATS history.
“A great time was had by all (especially my 99-year-old nanny who participated very enthusiastically from the front row during the Saturday matinee!).
“I am very conscious of the commitment in time, effort and expertise which is essential if we are to maintain our standards. I am extremely grateful to everyone and anyone involved with KATS in any sort of way — thank you very much. I am immensely proud of you all.
“Special thanks to my very talented brother, Luke Francis, who directed the production superbly. We look forward to presenting our chosen charities (Cornwall Air Ambulance and Jay’s Aim) with their cheques in February at our presentation evening.”
