DRIVERS heading through Devon could find their journeys taking an extra 40 minutes if they get caught in some upcoming roadworks.
Motorists are being warned about two days of roadworks which are planned to take place between Holsworthy and Bradworthy.
Devon County Council has announced that Openreach will be undertaking cabling works and pole testing between Youldonmoor Cross and Soldon Cross. As a result, the stretch is set to be closed from 9.30am on July 27 until 3.30pm on July 28.
Due to the closure, road users will be rerouted along a lengthy diversion which could see them travelling an extra 23 miles.
Those looking to head north with be returned towards Holsworthy and directed to join the A388, turning left at Stibbs Cross and heading towards Putford, before finally rejoining the original road and heading back through Bradworthy and towards Soldon Cross.
