CONSTRUCTION of the Binhamy retail park, Bude, is now underway, with the promise of a Poundworld, B&M and Peacocks.

The site at Binhamy Farm, directly opposite Morrisons, has been undergoing construction since May, and is due to be finished in December — conveniently before Christmas.

The retail park includes four units, three of which are now home to the UK’s fastest growing retail store B&M, the fashion retailer Peacocks and a Poundworld store. The fourth unit is still vacant.

Curson Sowerby (CSP) was the letting agents for the project, who let the unit to the developers.

George Haworth, letting agent from Curson Sowerby plc, said: “This site will open up retail for Bude, and will definitely provide employment opportunities for the town.

“The construction of the site is going well, and is going according to schedule. It is expected to be completed in December.”
