THE funeral service was held for the late Clare Downes, was held at Bude Methodist Church, on Monday, June 9. The service was officiated by Deacon Debbie Marsh.

The eulogies for Clare were led by Demelza Cornish backed up by Alice Hall, Kelly Beer and Denise Wellington who was speaking on behalf of Clare’s mother - Lynn Downes. The speeches were a touching tribute summing up the caring life of Clare. The congregation of more than 200 mourners heard stories of Clare's life ranging from her childhood up into her adult life reminding everyone of just what a kind and loving soul she was, always going the extra mile making sure everyone felt loved.
