DISCONTENT residents displayed their opposition to plans for a solar farm in Week St Mary — expected to be the UK's largest — at a meeting last week.
Over 130 parishioners from Warbstow, Week St Mary, Canworthy Water and North Petherwin filled Week St Mary Village Hall on Friday (July 20) to hear about the proposed 135,000 solar panels planned for land adjacent to Little Exe Cottage.
"It was a very lively discussion," said Pauline Smeeth, who is helping to front a campaign against the proposal.
She spoke at the meeting, which was chaired by Week St Mary resident Michael Goodman.
