AN Altarnun based haulage operator has applied to keep extra vehicles and trailers at their operating centre near Callington.

NRS Transport Limited, who are headquartered at Tredogget Farm in Altarnun have applied to the Traffic Commissioner for the amendments to the licence.

It is the Traffic Commissioner who will decide whether to grant or refuse their application.

A goods vehicle operator centre is the base where commercial lorries and trailers over 3,500 kg are normally parked and dispatched. To operate legally in the UK, these sites must be pre-approved by the Traffic Commissioner.

NRS Transport are seeking to amend their existing licence in order to permit them to keep an extra two heavy goods vehicles and an additional two trailers at their operating centre on Ashwell Farm, Linkinhorne, Callington.

The deadline to make reprsentations to the Traffic Commissioner is August 5.
