PUBLIC notices cover a range of applications, ranging from licensing applications for liqueur or entertainment to planning applications, roadworks and other works. Their intention is to inform communities of the latest plans in their area and such applications are considered for approval or refusal by local authorities. Here are some of the latest applications submitted to Cornwall Council in North Cornwall and Torridge District Council in Torridge.

Road closure - Bodmin

Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council has made the above Order dated 22nd September 2025 in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to temporarily prohibit the use by traffic of the undermentioned length of road in Bodmin.

This prohibition is necessary for poling works and it is expected that the closure will be from October 12 2025 for one day. The prohibition will be in force between the hours of 0930 and 1530, weekends included.

Road affected - Lower Bore Street, Bodmin from No 29 to No 51.

Road closure – Bude

Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council intends to make the above Order in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to temporarily prohibit the use by traffic of the undermentioned length of road in Bude.

This prohibition is necessary for new water connection works, and it is expected that the closure will be from October 20 to October 24.

The prohibition will be in force 24 hours a day, weekdays only. Road affected - Howard Lane, Stratton, Bude.

Road closure – Launceston

Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council has made the above Order dated 22nd September 2025 in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to temporarily prohibit the use by traffic of the undermentioned lengths of road in Launceston. This prohibition is necessary for works to reset block paving and it is expected that the closure will be from October 9 2025 to October 10 2025.

The prohibition will be in force between the hours of 0730 and 1800, weekdays only. Roads affected - Snowdrop Crescent, Kensey Park, Launceston between property numbers 63 and 69 and Honeysuckle Gardens, Launceston between property number 45 and the junction with Robin Drive.
