PUBLIC notices cover a range of applications, from licensing applications for liqueur or entertainment to planning applications, roadworks and other works. Their intention is to inform communities of the latest plans in their area and such applications are considered for approval or refusal by local authorities. Here are some of the latest applications submitted to Cornwall Council in North Cornwall and Torridge District Council in Torridge.
Road closures
PADSTOW: Harlyn Bay Road in Padstow is set to be closed for five days in December for works by National Grid.
This prohibition is necessary for works to provide new supply and it is expected that the closure will be from December 11 to 16. The prohibition will be in force between the hours of 7.30am and 6pm, weekdays only.
The road(s) affected are Harlyn Bay Road, Padstow between properties Polwen and Gulland.
BLISLAND: The road from Cassacawn Hill to Manor House near Blisland will be closed during the daytime for one day in December for telecommunications work.
This prohibition is necessary for works to provide new customer service and it is expected that the closure will be from December 8 for one day. The prohibition will be in force between the hours of 9.30am and 3.30pm, weekdays only.
Road affected - Road From Cassacawn Hill To Manor House, Bodmin from junction with Road From Lanxon Road To Manor House to junction with Access To Tumrose Farm.
BUDE: Lower Poulza Post in Bude is to be subject to a closure in December, according to a published public notice.
This prohibition is necessary for permanent reinstatement works and it is expected that the closure will be from December 9 to 11.
The prohibition will be in force 24 hours a day, weekdays only. Road affected - Access To Lower Poulza Post, Jacobstow, Bude between grid references SX 20497 94450 and SX 20909 94771. There is no alternative route.
LAUNCESTON: Hurdon Road in Launceston is set to be closed for four days for parapet repairs.
It is expected that the closure will be from December 8 to 12. The prohibition will be in force 24 hours a day.
