HOLSWORTHY AFC has issued a plea for volunteers to come forward to assist amid fears for the future if none do.

In a statement, a spokesperson said: “We are all deeply passionate about the club and have some great plans for the future to include new changing rooms, a pitch extension, LED floodlights and a new clubhouse. But, without volunteers and help we just can’t bring them to life. We are in desperate need of people to help us fundraise, complete grant applications, approach potential sponsors and even sit on a mower once in a while.

“In return we offer a warm welcome, free entry to games and a chance to be included into a friendly social club where you’ll often find us in the clubhouse having a chat over a drink with the players after a game.

“We are not asking people to commit days and days of work but if a few all do a little, we can move mountains together. Without help we do fear for the future of Holsworthy AFC – we are a volunteer run club.

“Please get in touch through socials, email [email protected] or just come along to a game and make yourself known to a committee member.”
