Group Two finals at Bodmin Bowling Club — Saturday, August 24 and August 25
THE Cornwall County League Group Two finals were held at Bodmin over the Bank Holiday weekend with five Bude ladies taking part.
On Saturday, Marilyn March and Teresa Tibbetts played the group final of the County Over 55 Pairs competition where they had a resounding win against C Cummins and J Marchant (Liskeard).
On Sunday morning Barbara Phoenix played the group semi-final of the Kernow Cup against S Frost (Liskeard) which she won but unfortunately she lost the Group final to a player from Bodmin in the afternoon.
Anne Butler and Fran Goldthorp also played on Sunday afternoon in the group final of the Benevolent Two Wood Pairs, having a good win against Judith Prynne and Angela Wooldridge (Dunheved).
Congratulations were expressed by the club to all five ladies who will now represent Group Two in the county quarter-finals of their respective competitions.
