EIGHTY-FOUR members, friends and family gathered at Bude and North Cornwall Golf Club recently to play in memory of Roger Gliddon who passed away on May 6 this year.

A total of £2,500 was raised in which a memorial table with a plaque was bought and is displayed on the patio of the restaurant..

A cheque for £2,200 was also presented to Alison Lobb who represents the Cornwall Partnership Foundation Trust’s charitable fund. This money will stay in Cornwall for cancer related care.

A spokesperson said: “We’d like to extend our thanks to the new franchise restaurant owners at the golf club, Luis Parody and Francis Parody, and the members who donated monies to this wonderful cause for their involvement in this special day.”
