Bude & District League Season 2015 – 16

ANOTHER successful winter pool season has come to an end in the Bude and District Pool League with Lucky Kiss Galacticos and Arscott Arms winning the Leagues.

The Galacticos were the Premier Division winners, with LK Sharp Shooters snatching away the runners-up spot from last season’s champions New Inn A in the final frame of the season.

The New Inn’s Andy Pollard won the Premier MVP trophy by one point ahead of Wilson and Gary Hodgson who both accumulated 35 points.

The Galacticos came up short in the cup competitions though, losing 8-5 in the final of the newly formed Handicap Team KO to Bridge Inn and then getting trounced 8-1 in the final of the Heaverman Cup to LK Sharp Shooters.

The Galacticos Tony Holgate won the Premier League singles final beating Julian Francis 4-2.

Brothers Tim and Paul Cottle of New Inn A beat Bridge Inn’s Nick Thorne and Tom Ross 4-1 in the doubles final.

The finals night House Championship was won by Tom Ross beating young Harry Hopcroft 2-0 in the final before the popular Speed Pool Competition saw the sharp Nick Thorne beat Stuart Baker to the title.
