A WOMAN has been taken to hospital with serious injuries following a one vehicle collision on a road leading into Holsworthy.

The road remains closed. This comes on St Peter’s Fair Day when the town is at it’s busiest.

A Devon and Cornwall Police spokesperson said: “Emergency services were called to reports of a single-vehicle collision at Anvil Corner, on the A3072 at Holsworthy, at around 10.55pm on Tuesday, July 7.

“A female occupant of the vehicle has been taken to hospital with serious injuries.

“The road currently remains closed while an investigation continues at the scene.”

Police have said further updates will be issued when they have them.
