BUDE’S Bencoolen Park will be opened to the public this November.

With the original play area being nearly 30 years old, Bude-Stratton Town Council agreed it was time for a refurbishment. The park closed for work on September 30, and will offer a variety of new features such as climbing frames, a seesaw, a wheelchair inclusive roundabout, an ‘air rider’ and more.

But people can now look forward to the town’s newly refurbished park opening for use. The Post has been told that the site is to be inspected for safety measures once the groundwork is completed, and all the heras fencing is to be removed just before opening.

Bude-Stratton Town Council have said that they plan to open the new Bencoolen Park at 10am on Monday, November 11.
