PLANS for a mixed use development at Binhamy Farm, Stratton Road, Bude were deferred at a meeting of North Cornwall District Council's Planning and Development Committee on Tuesday.

Councillors had previously visited the site of the proposed development, which would include housing (including affordable housing), employment, a retirement village, extra care facility, retail, land for a community building, public open space and landscaping.

The application — submitted by Catesby Property Group — has generated a lot of interest in the area and several letters on the subject have appeared in the 'Post'. Many people have expressed concerns about the impact the development will have on Bude and Stratton.
