The Bodmin Hospital Fete has raised over £5,000 for the hospital and the charities attending.

The annual event is organised by the hospital league of friends which raises money to supply services and equipment for the hospital which is not supplied by the NHS.

Susie Gore, chairman of the league of friends, said: “We are so grateful to everyone who helped to make this such an enjoyable and successful afternoon.”

Entertainer Johnny Cowling opened the fete after being introduced by the Bodmin town crier.

Among the groups with stalls were the Inner Wheel, the Hugs Foundation and Bodmin Scouts.

The music and entertainment was supplied by Tina Roberts and Chico the Clown and there were dance displays by KBSK and Future Youth Dance.

Among those supporting the event were Bodmin Rotary Club, Bodmin Lions Club, Bodmin Town Council and the St Breward Village Association.
