THE Rustic Tea Garden, at Northcott Mouth, was filled with music on recently, as the Bude Town Band gave a performance by invitation of Margaret Frost.

During the afternoon the band presented their annual awards. The ‘Ernie Martin Cup’ for improvement was presented to Phil Alexander and was presented by the band’s chairman, Michael Inch.

The ‘Broomhill Manor Cup’ is presented to someone, not necessarily a playing member for their commitment to Bude Town Band.

This year the cup was presented to Margaret Frost.

Margaret was also presented with a special award of appreciation, as Margaret has been a member of Bude Town Band committee for the past 50 years — the band’s chairman, Bridget Inch, presented this award to Margaret.

The band expressed their thanks to everyone that has supported the band during their busy summer and added: “We look forward to your continued support”.
