LAST week Budehaven said farewell to the Year 11 Leavers. Head of Year Mel Bardsley described them as her ’dream team’ and described them as a funny, articulate and hardworking group.

She wished them well and told them that ’an end is only a beginning in disguise’.

Headteacher, Tracey Reynolds reminded the year group that their actions are never too small or insignificant to make a difference. That they must endeavour to make good decisions, act wisely and be brave as they move on to their next stage of life.

The school’s staff then presented the year group with a surprise film displaying their singing and dancing talents! Staff had ’gone on location’ and were filmed in various locations around Bude singing and dancing along to the Justin Timberlake song, Can’t stop the Feeling.

After a lunch, produced by the school’s DT department, the year 11 football and netball teams then took on their teachers in their final football and netball match. The students put together an exceptional display of teamwork, and gave the staff a masterclass in football!

A spokesman said: “A great send off to our Year 11s. We wish them the very best of luck for their results in August.”
