WHILE runners aiming to beat their best times in the town centre is not an unusual sight, with Christmas on the way a deluge of Santas took to the streets of Camelford.

Camelford Up and Running, a friendly group of running enthusiasts who bring the ‘fun’ to fun running, decided to bring festive cheer in the form of a Santa Run, aiming to raise money for Little Acorns Nursery, a local nursery group.

More than 20 Santas took part in the 11.8-mile run, which raised £300 for the nursery which is hoping to improve their outdoor area.

It was third holding of the now-annual event fixture, with the runners well received by a number of residents and businesses who provided treats, support and even a mystery tour.
