A partnership of Cornwall Fire Service, National Trust and English Heritage was in effect all day on August 30 at Glebe Cliff in Tintagel to tackle a wildfire.

A wildfire started in this location yesterday and has been smouldering again today - fanned by strong winds. The fire has now been contained with fire breaks.

Cornwall fire crews will remain in attendance overnight to protect the fire breaks. The scene will be fully reassessed tomorrow morning by a Senior Fire Officer.
