BACK on a very hot and sunny Saturday, July 2 a group of 12 students and various teaching and support staff successfully completed a 100 mile cycle from Bude to Land's End in just over 13 hours, raising money for a charity close to many people's hearts — Cancer Research UK.

Co-ordinator of Learning and Personal Well Being of Year 11 Mel Bardsley said: "The hard work didn't just stop after completion of the cycle, with money still being collected towards our final amount. Now four months later, a grand total of £2,828,06 has been raised for Cancer Research UK, a fantastic effort I'm sure you will agree."
