THERE are fresh fears that the Minor Injuries Unit at Stratton Hospital is to close at night.
This comes following news of a Stratton Hospital board meeting, that was due to take place on Tuesday afternoon, after the Post went to press.
Cllr Bob Willingham, Bude and Stratton Mayor, said he was “disgusted” at the possibility of a closure.
“As far as community is concerned, we’ve only got to have a child turning up at the point of dying, which has happened recently. That’s one life; how do you put a price on a life.”
The Post contacted the NHS Partnership Trust who confirmed the meeting was to take place, but they could not confirm or deny news of the overnight closures.
