HOLSWORTHY resident Joan Brock marked a magnificent milestone on June 1 as she celebrated her 100th birthday surrounded by music, family, and community cheer.
The day’s festivities kicked off during morning coffee at Abbeyfield, where Joan was treated to a lively performance by the ukulele band ‘All at C’. The joyful musical tribute set the perfect tone for the day, which also included a special presentation of a beautiful birthday cake and some flowers.
Among her many greetings was a congratulations card from King Charles III and Queen Camilla.
The celebrations in the evening were announced by Holsworthy bell ringers, who rang especially in Joan's honour. It concluded with a gathering of family and friends at the White Hart, where loved ones raised a glass to toast Joan’s remarkable life.
