LOCKDOWNS have come and gone, many talking newspapers across the country have folded during these challenging times, but North Cornwall Talking Newspaper have not missed a week, thanks to a small number of dedicated volunteers.

Despite this good news, more support is needed to help this vital service continue.

North Cornwall Talking Newspaper records weekly news items from local papers, including the Post Series, onto memory sticks and post them out to subscribers across North Cornwall. Especially popular is our ‘Looking Back’section.

Co-ordinator Penny Robertson said: “We are now at a crossroads and have to make some hard decisions at our AGM on September 23 as to whether we can or should continue. This decision will be influenced by how many listeners we have so it really is a case of ‘use it or lose it’.”

She added: “Do you know of anyone who would benefit from a free weekly recording of our local news? If so, please get in touch.”

If anyone knows anyone who would be interested in taking on the role of co-ordinator, and/or who would be willing to edit/read/produce/copy/distribute (any or all of these) call 01208 831 454 or email [email protected]
