RECENTLY, Rev Neal Street had the pleasure of presenting to Mrs Audrey Heard a certificate celebrating 30 years of dedication to playing the organ at Stratton Methodist Church, in Maiden Street.

Rev Street said: “Members cannot express enough their appreciation of her hard work, devotion, dedication, enthusiasm and reliability during those years of service. A huge thank you to Audrey from all her chapel friends.”
Mrs Heard said it had been a ‘privilege’ to play at her local church for so many years.
“There’s only one thing I can add and that is it has been a privilege to play all those years and I have enjoyed every service I have played at.”
She added: “I have played at weddings and funerals, I’ve done it all really. I think I must have played at every church and chapel in the Bude area over the years and that has been a great honour.”
